Are toppers God Gifted? Using your brain to succeed in these different exams, During my different seminars very frequently a question comes ″Are toppers god gifted?″ or ″Do they have a very sharp brain?″ Let me try to answer this question by telling you what is brain and how it works. Your brain has trillions of cells called neurons. Each neuron has the potential to make thousands of different connections with other neurons. It does so with structures called "dendrites" and "axons". Dendrites are much like "local" telephone connections, while axons are like high capacity fiber-optic cable used for efficient long-distance transmissions. It's like having big telecom network inside your head. Put very simply, intelligence is a function of two factors - the number of functional neurons and, more important, the number of dendrite connections in your brain. The first determines the size of your brain and its potential capacity. This does not vary a great deal between individuals. We all have the same basic potential. You have the same brain capacity and potential as Einstein or Vishwanathan Anand. The real difference is in the number of connections between each neuron. This is where toppers are made. When you challenge your mental capacity by learning new things and going beyond your intellectual : comfort zone, you will be creating new dendrites and new connections to other parts of your brain. You will be increasing your intelligence! And it's never too late to increase your intelligence. Scientists are convinced that the ability to increase your brain's density by stimulating the growth of new dendrites connections continues throughout life: it does not diminish with age. So it is never too late to start the process of making yourself a genius.
